Fall Open House | Nov. 22, 23, 24

Our annual fall sale is a 3-day event at the nursery. It runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This sale features guest plant and supply vendors and a food vendor each day. Customers love to shop the $10 tent and blue light specials.

Orchid talks are held once a day during the event.

Closed Thanksgiving Week | Nov. 25 - Dec. 1

The nursery is closed during the week of Thanksgiving. Regular business hours resume Tuesday, Dec. 3rd.

Sarasota Orchid Society Show & Sale | Jan. 4 & 5

“Orchid Delirium” is the theme of Sarasota’s 2025 orchid show. This event runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Sarasota (801 N. Tamiami Trail).

The show includes orchid exhibitions and commercial booths with vendors from around the state. Educational talks on orchids and their care are scheduled throughout each day of the show and are open to attendees.

Admission is $5.

Venice Area Orchid Society (VAOS) Show & Sale | Feb. 1 & 2

The theme for the 2025 VAOS show is “Orchids in Living Color.” The sale is held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Venice Community Center (326 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice, FL). This years event includes a total of 17 vendors, with blooming orchids, floral arrangements, artwork, jewelry, and supplies for sale.

VAOS also organizes free orchid culture classes during the event each day.

Admission is $5.

Spring Open House | March 7, 8, 9

Our annual spring sale is a 3-day event at the nursery during the second weekend of March each year. The sale runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This sale features guest plant and supply vendors and a food vendor each day.

In addition to the $10 tent and special pricing on selected plants, this sale offers customers a variety of bare root divisions for purchase.

Educational classes on repotting and mounting orchids, as well as orchid care are offered during the event.

Sunken Gardens Orchid Festival | April 6

A single Sunday chock full of blooming orchids, orchid lectures, orchid pottery, and supplies. The festival runs Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sunken Gardens in St. Pete (1825 4th St. N.).

Festival admission is free with paid garden admission or membership.

Green Thumb Festival | April 26 & 27

Plant lovers of the Gulf Coast unite! Green Thumb is St. Pete’s annual Arbor Day festival at Walter Fuller Park. The event includes more than 100 garden, plant, and flower vendors and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Admission is free.

Summer Tent Sale | 2025 Dates TBD

This Friday/Saturday sale is typically held the weekend before Labor Day weekend. For this event, all sale plants are staged in tents outside of the main greenhouses. Pricing is color-coded and indicated by stickers.

The nursery is closed during Labor Day weekend.
