Den. Luwin Park x tangerinum
Den. Luwin Park x tangerinum
This hybrid does not currently have a registered name.
An antelope-type Dendrobium, easy to grow with several long-lasting flowers per inflorescence.
Grown from seed so flower characteristics may vary from plant to plant. Some plants have bloomed with pinky-peach flowers (as pictured), while others have produced a creamier flower with more of tangerinum’s iridescent orange.
Plants available: See dropdown menu with plant selection and availability. The plant pictured in full represents the 4” Pot - Standard size.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright, indirect light. Some direct sun is okay—particularly in the morning and/or outside the most intense hours of the day. Water and fertilize generously while plants are actively growing in spring and summer, but allow roots and potting media to dry out in between. Reduce water and fertilization with shorter day length and cooler temperatures.
Plants may be grown mounted, though we recommend pots or baskets for hard-caned Dendrobiums like these, which can be rather top-heavy for mounts, especially as they grow in stature. When potting, use a large aggregate bark mix with good drainage. Heavy-bottomed clay pots with several holes (tall ones, if you can find them) help to stabilize the plant and facilitate drainage. Repot only when plants are actively growing. New canes and bright green root tips be cue for the right time.
