Cattleya Atlanta
Cattleya Atlanta
(Cattleya warscewiczii f. coerulea × Cattleya tigrina f. coerulea ‘Kathleen’)
Primary hybrid of the coerulea forms of Cattleya species C. warscewiczii and C. tigrina. Fragrant.
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics vary somewhat from plant to plant.
Plants Available: Growing in 4” and 6” pots. Examples of the options available are pictured.
Grower’s Note: This hybrid is 50% Cattleya tigrina—a bifoliate Cattleya species that is susceptible to heat stress. This can manifest as markings on the underside of some foliage, which are generally innocuous.
Orchid Care: Grow in very bright, indirect light. Provide moderate humidity and good air circulation. Allow roots and media to dry out between watering. Plants may be potted or mounted. Fertilize weakly, weekly.
