Den. Kyle Quintal
(Dendrobium rhodostictum x Little Atro)
Plants blooms in clusters of white and purple flowers, with dense clusters of purple spots forming streaks of purple on parts of the petals. Flowers tend to nod, so this plant is particularly enjoyable when hung or set is a spot where you can look up to enjoy the flowers.
Latouria-types like these are generally easy to grow and flower and can be adapted to a wide variety of growing environments. Flowers can last several weeks. Plants may bloom twice a year.
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics may vary somewhat from plant to plant.
Plants Available: Growing in 4” pots. Orders will be filled with plants in spike/bud/bloom as blooming season and blooming stock permit; otherwise, mature plants which have bloomed previously.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright indirect light and moderate humidity. Direct sun is not recommended. Plants should be evenly kept moist (not wet or soggy) and fertilized weakly, weekly. Grow potted in a medium aggregate bark mix that allows for regular watering without becoming saturated or stagnant. We recommend baskets or clay pots if plants are to be grown hanging.
