Den. nobile hybrid. Easy to grow, great for mounting and landscaping in temperate to subtropical climes. Fragrant.

Typically blooms in January/February.

‘Dark Edge’ mericlone. The flowers of this variety are white with a prominent pink edge as shown.

Plants Available: Growing in 4” and 5” pots. An example of the 4” Pot option is pictured. Orders will be filled with plants in bud/bloom as blooming season and blooming stock permit; otherwise, mature plants, previously bloomed.

Orchid Care: Grow in bright indirect light. Plants can be acclimated to direct sun, particularly during the winter months. In summer, they will thank you if you give them filtered light during the hottest hours of the day (typically 11-3) when the sun is most intense. Great for mounting on most palms. Water and fertilize regularly during active growth, but give plants a dry rest in the cooler months. At our nursery, this is typically from Thanksgiving through early March.

Note: Nobile-type Dendrobiums are deciduous—you can expect some amount of yellowing foliage and leaf drop during their rest period. It is a common growing practice to strip foliage from the canes. Plants require a cool, dry rest in fall/winter to initiate flowering. Resume a regular water and fertilization routine when buds have clearly initiated.
