Cattleya intermedia v. aquinii fma. coerulea
Cattleya intermedia v. aquinii fma. coerulea
Adaptable and generally easy to cultivate, Cattleya intermedia will remain relatively compact as it grows. Typically flowers in late spring/early summer.
Plants Available: The plant available is the plant pictured.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright indirect light and moderate to high humidity. C. intermedia may benefit from more frequent watering than many Catts—the potting media should not dry completely for long period, particularly while plants are actively growing. At the same time, the medium should never be stale or soggy, and sphagnum moss is not recommended. Try potting in a coarse well-draining media (e.g. a chunky bark mix), which may be watered daily in the summer without staying overly wet and still allowing air to the roots.
