Cattleya tigrina var. alba
Cattleya tigrina var. alba
Alba form of Brazilian Cattleya species, C. tigrina; Syn. C. leopoldii—”King Leopold’s Cattleya.”
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics may vary from plant to plant. Flower pictures are not currently available for this grex.
Plants Available: Growing in 4” pots, blooming size. The plant pictured is the plant currently available.
Orchid Care: Grow potted or mounted in medium-high light (bright, indirect). We recommend potting plants to better accommodate the tall stature of this species as it matures. Provide moderate humidity and good air circulation. Plants should dry out between waterings.
Note: Bifoliate Cattleyas like this one should only be repotted when the plant has put out a new growth with new, actively growing roots. Bifoliates repotted at the wrong stage of growth are more likely to decline.
