Laelia purpurata v. carnea
Laelia purpurata v. carnea
White petals, pink lip.
Now technically Cattleya purpurata, this Brazilian species is among the largest in flower size and stature of the genus.
Plants Available: Mature plants growing in 4” and 6” pots. The plants available are pictured. See plant selection dropdown menu for availability.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright light with strong air circulation and high humidity. Plants tolerate very bright light but, as is the case in this plant, may show signs of it in the form of mottling on the foliage of the oldest growths. Plants should be watered often while actively growing, but roots must be allowed to dry out between waterings. Do not keep dry for extended periods. Potting rather than mounting is recommended because of the stature of this variety.
