Primary hybrid of Broughtonia sanguinea and Tetramicra canaliculata with vibrant pink blooms.

Grown from seed.

Plants Available: Growing in 3” net pots and 4” teak baskets. Examples pictured.

Orchid Care: As for Cattleyas. Grow in high light with good air circulation. Plants should dry out between waterings. Mounting is recommend over potting for this variety.

Whether grown potted or mounted, plants will let you know their substrate has run its course by developing black marks on the foliage, particularly on the older growths. These blemishes, common on many Broughtonia hybrids (e.g. Ctna. Why Not), are generally cosmetic and not a long term threat to the plant but do signal a need to repot or mount on fresh wood.
