Cattleya Fascelis
Cattleya Fascelis
(Cattleya bicolor f. alba ‘Green Goddess’ × Cattleya aclandiae f. alba ‘SVO’ AM/AOS)
Primary hybrid of Cattleya aclandiae and Cattleya bicolor. While the parentage of this cross are two alba forms of the species, plants have so far bloomed with coloration typical of the standard (non-alba) form. Flowers have petals of golden brown, overlaid with red-brown spots and a pink lip. Fragrant.
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics will vary somewhat from plant to plant. Blooms from two individuals are pictured as examples of these variations.
Plants Available: Growing in 3” and 4” pots. Both are blooming-size. An example of the 4” Pot option is pictured.
Orchid Care: Grow potted or mounted. Plants require bright indirect light. Water generously during active growth (spring, summer). Plants should dry between waterings. As with bifoliate Catts, repotting/mounting should be done only while plants are actively growing . Fertilize weakly, weekly.
