Dendrobium tobaense
Dendrobium tobaense
An uncommon and funky Dendrobium species, D. tobaense belongs to section Formosae or Nigrohirsute—a reference to the tiny black hairs that cover the canes and underside of the leaves on this species.
Flowers are waxy and long-lasting, with a distinctive spear-like lip.
Grown from seed.
Plants Available: Growing in 4” pots. Orders will be filled with plants in bud/flower as blooming season and blooming stock permit; otherwise, mature plants, previously bloomed.
Orchid Care: Grow in dappled light and keep moist but well-drained, only allowing the plant to dry slightly between waterings. Water generously during the summer months. Reduce water and fertilizer somewhat during the cooler months.
