Phrag. Leslie Garay

Phrag. Leslie Garay
(Phragmipedium caudatum × Phragmipedium longifolium)
Primary hybrid of lady slipper species Phrag. caudatum and Phrag. longifolium. Blooms sequentially from a single inflorescence. Vigorous plants can produce several flowers from the same spike. Bloom pigment darkens as the flower ages and/or with exposure to brighter light.
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics and color may vary somewhat from plant to plant.
Plants Available: Growing in 4” pots. Examples of the 4” Pot - Lg option are pictured. Orders will be filled with plants in spike/bud/bloom as stock permits.
Orchid Care: A semi-lithophytic/terrestrial, this plant should be grown potted. The substrate should be kept moist, but not soggy; good drainage is essential (e.g. a layer of styrofoam peanuts or pot shards beneath beneath a bark-based substrate). Provide bright, filtered light with strong air circulation so that conditions around the roots do not become stagnant. Repot annually.
