Coelogyne—pronounced “See-lodge-oh-knee”—of all the orchid genera, perhaps the most fun to say aloud.

An orchid species from southeast Asia, Coel. fimbriata is a fairly versatile and easy-growing plant. Can grow be grown in intermediate to warm conditions. Plants flower freely throughout the year.

Orchid Care: Grow in diffused light and water frequently (more so for mounted plants than potted ones), tapering during the cooler months. A tree fern mount like this that dries easily can be grown alongside Vandas and watered with the same regularity.
